Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-08
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the layota.app marketing website. Layota is currently in pre-launch and does not yet offer a paid service. Once the paid service launches, additional service terms will be added covering subscriptions, payment, refunds, acceptable use, and SLAs.
1. Acceptance
By using layota.app or submitting the waitlist form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Eligibility
The site is intended for users aged 16 and older. By submitting the waitlist form, you represent that you are at least 16 years old.
3. The waitlist
The waitlist form lets you indicate interest in Layota's upcoming product. Submitting your email address does not guarantee access; we will reach out when early access becomes available, in the order received and based on fit. The "50% off founders' pricing" promotional discount is contingent on subscribing within the first 100 paying customers after public launch and may be discontinued at our discretion before then.
4. Intellectual property
The Layota name, logo, and all content on layota.app (text, graphics, images, code) are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except for short fair-use quotations with attribution.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information
- Attempt to disrupt the site, its underlying infrastructure, or its rate limits
- Reverse-engineer or scrape content for commercial purposes
- Use the site in violation of applicable law
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, except as required by mandatory consumer-protection law (in Germany, including §§ 312k, 327 ff. BGB where applicable).
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Our liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, which is currently zero (no paid service exists). This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, or for harm to life, body, or health, in line with mandatory German law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Layota evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, communicated via email to waitlist subscribers.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the city of the operator's seat, to the extent permissible by law. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of EU residents remain unaffected.
